“Standard” One-hour Teaching or Tutoring Session Dynamic (varying)

GIVEN A PRE-DETERMINED FOCUS:

  • Discussion of a sample or earlier piece of writing

  • “Live” mini-writing activity

  • Discussion of material created

  • Beginning work on a next-session goal

 

OR, FOR A LARGER WRITING PROJECT:

  • Review of “recent” writings

  • Generating New Content (paragraphs, poems, etc.)

  • Critiquing, focusing on structure, and the 3 P’s (Punctuation, Phrasing, “Paragraphing”, or stanzas)

  • Discussion of next writing focus (and additional reading selections to prepare for, or complete) for next session.

 

I will try to accommodate any requests for the time-frame when we are working together, and look forward to inspiring each other to become better observers of the worlds we live in, better “listeners”, and honing skills to communicate what we experience, to celebrate, mourn, and gain perspective in our lives.
